Job description

Oracle DBAIntroduction:

The Oracle DBA will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability. They will work closely with the IT team to optimize database configurations and provide support for various database-related tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform Oracle database administration tasks such as installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance through tuning and query optimization techniques.
  • Implement and maintain database security measures to protect data from unauthorized access.
  • Manage backup and recovery processes using tools like RMAN and Data Guard.
  • Develop and maintain SQL and PLSQL scripts for database operations and automation.
  • Utilize shell and Python scripting for automation and integration tasks.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, or Azure for database deployments and migrations.
  • Utilize monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics for performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate database operations into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide production support and troubleshoot database-related issues in a timely manner.
Requirements:Required Skills:
  • Oracle Database Administration experience, preferably with Oracle 19c and knowledge of versions from Oracle 11g onwards.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and RMAN.
  • Strong understanding of performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PLSQL development.
  • Experience with shell and Python scripting.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Eagle and high-frequency database systems.
  • DevOps and CI/CD awareness.
