MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Database Developer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our multi-cloud modernization customer supporting enterprise level transformation initiatives. You will play a crucial role in managing, modernizing, and optimizing Oracle databases that operate across multiple cloud environments, ensuring secure, reliable, and high performance data operations.

Lead/Manage/Support the administration, architecture, and optimization of Oracle Database platforms deployed across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including OCI and other major cloud service providers
Collaborate with cloud engineers, application teams, cybersecurity professionals, and customer stakeholders to design and support mission aligned data solutions that integrate Oracle databases with multi-cloud architectures
Drive database modernization efforts such as cloud migrations, automation of operations, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and adoption of multi-cloud best practices to ensure mission resilience and scalability
Utilize Oracle Database (12c/19c/21c), Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, OCI Database Services (Autonomous Database, DB Systems), SQL/PLSQL, and tools supporting multi-cloud integration and DevSecOps workflows

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Database Developer must have:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field or equivalent experience

Technical Training/Certification Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate/Professional preferred

Experience: 3+ years of related experience

Technical skills: experience administering Oracle databases; strong SQL, PL/SQL; performance tuning; experience with OCI database services; familiarity with multicloud environments (AWS, Azure, OCI); and experience with backup/recovery and database migration tools such as Data Pump or GoldenGate customer; experience supporting Oracle in multi-cloud or hybrid architectures is preferred
Security clearance level: Must be able to pass a government security investigation for public trust suitability.
OTHER INFORMATION:

  • Location: Remote. Some travel.
  • This is a contingent role expected to start in late summer 2026.

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee's date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
