Job description

The Oracle Data Migration Consultant is responsible for ensuring seamless and
accurate migration of data from legacy systems to Oracle platforms (EBS R12, Fusion,
or Oracle Cloud). The role requires both functional and technical knowledge of Oracle
ERP systems and expertise in complex data migration strategies, transformation logic,
and validation processes.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead or participate in Oracle ERP data migration projects, including
requirements gathering, data mapping, extraction, transformation, loading (ETL),
and validation.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to capture and analyze business
requirements and translate them into data migration solutions.
• Configure, test, and implement Oracle modules, particularly in financials (GL,
AP, AR) and related data sets.
• Perform gap analysis, recommend process improvements, and ensure data
integrity throughout migration.
• Develop and execute migration strategies using Oracle tools (FBDI/ADFDI, SQL
Loader, PL/SQL, APIs).
• Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, reports, and data integrations
between Oracle and third-party systems (using Oracle Integration Cloud/OIC).
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, assist with incident, problem, and
change management.
• Provide end-user support, UAT assistance, and documentation throughout
migration projects.
 
Required Skills & Experience:
• 4–10 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Data Migration projects, with strong
exposure to Oracle EBS R12 and/or Oracle Fusion/Oracle Cloud modules.
• Demonstrated expertise with Oracle Financials modules (GL, AP, AR), and
working knowledge of functional setups and technical components.
• Proficiency in data migration tools and methodologies: FBDI, ADFDI, SQL Loader,
PL/SQL, APIs, BI tools.
• Experience in integrating Oracle ERP with external/third-party systems using APIs
or middleware.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in data quality and reconciliation.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently or as part of a
global, cross-functional team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or
related field.
 
Preferred Qualifications:
• Oracle Cloud Financials or Oracle EBS R12 Financials certification.
• Knowledge of Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), BI Publisher, or other Oracle
reporting tools.
• Experience with project implementations across Finance, Procurement,
Warehousing, or Logistics domains.
