Job description

Purpose of the Job

The Sr Developer Oracle Fusion (PLM) will play a pivotal role in driving the success of Client’ Oracle Fusion initiatives primarily for Idea to Market - PLM track, with cross functional interactions across tracks like - O2C, S2P, R2R, H2R tracks. This role is responsible for the overall architecture of the ERP fusion platform, leading the implementation, supporting the operations, and ongoing optimization of the Oracle fusion platform PLM track/modules. The role also will be responsible for various customizations and extensions of the platform ensuring seamless integration with critical business functions to enable growth, efficiency, and operational excellence.

As a Sr oracle fusion developer, you will be a technical lead, with hands-on development activities, shaping scalable and innovative solutions that advance business functions primarily covering PLM processes. You will partner closely with vendor implementation teams to validate and guide solution design, and ensuring seamless delivery of projects, technical solutions. You will also be working closely with all cross functional development & functional analyst teams, facilitating designs and solutions and resolving any inter-dependencies. In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders and IT leaders to translate business needs into robust, efficient, and user-friendly Oracle solutions, ensuring the platform continuously delivers measurable business value.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Solution Architecture & Development. Project Delivery & Governance.
  • Responsible for technical solutions entire cycle delivery - technical analysis, design, documentation, build, validation, deployment and operational support.
  • Lead & develop end-to-end Oracle fusion solutions primarily across multiple modules / process cycles covering PLM.
  • Design scalable and robust solutions, translating business needs into technical strategies.
  • Build various CEMLI & RICE components of Oracle fusion platform, enabling enterprise business solutions."
  1. Documentation, Compliance & Data Governance - 15%
  • Develop and maintain Architecture diagrams, technical solution designs, workflows, documentation, and training materials.
  • Enforce data governance policies and ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
  1. Technical Leadership & Governance - 10%
  • Provide technical direction, establish coding standards, perform peer reviews, and ensure architectural alignment.
  • Define and manage build, deployment, and release strategies. Support automation in activities like Build & QA.
  • Govern internal team deliverables and monitor vendor/partner implementations.
  1. Business Engagement & Requirements Translation - 10%
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Sales, Plant Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Business and Technical teams) to understand business requirements.
  • Translate complex business needs into technical solutions aligned with Oracle/ERP best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design user/business-centric features and optimize operations, workflows
  1. Platform Operations & Optimization - 10%
  • Oversee platform administration, optimization, stability, and operational maintenance.
  • Manage licenses, monitor system health, process standardization, and ensure scalability of the platform.
  • Continuously enhance platform performance and user experience through proactive improvements.
  • Assess platform quarterly/periodic releases and ensure timely upgrades (including intermediate patch sets).

Education and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field (required).
  • Implementation Experience: Experience with Oracle Fusion implementations in the Manufacturing vertical, with at least two full-cycle implementations (preferred), and at least one covering (PLM) process area (required).
  • ERP / Development Experience: 5+ years of experience with Oracle ERP solutions development, with strong understanding of platform functionality, cross-functional integrations, and process cycles. (required)
  • Fusion Development Experience: 3+ years of development experience specifically on Oracle Fusion platform.(OIC, VBCS, FBDI, SQL/PLSQL, OTBI, SOAP/REST API's, Fusion Data Models Schemas). (required)
  • UI Development Experience: Minimum of 1 Yr Redwood UI experience (required).
  • Build & Release: Exposure to & ability to architect release automation and utilize build pipe lines. (preferred)

Certifications:

  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations (preferred)
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate (preferred)

Core Technical Expertise

Module specific expertise in PLM Technical & Functional areas - covering & not limited to :

  • Design & build interfaces. Item Class configuration, Workflow designer, Item Catalog, Lifecycles, ECOs, Quality issue workflows, Master data Management, Configurator etc.,
  • Hands on expertise in extensions, modifications, and customizations of standard Oracle functionality using tools like & not limited to :
  • Pl/Sql, Sql, Java, JavaScript, Oracle JDeveloper, Visual Builder Studio (VBCS), Application Composer.

Expertise in Data Management, Reporting & Analytics using tool like & not limited to :

  • Oracle database, Data Modeling, tuning, FBDI, HDL, BIP, OTBI, Smart View, ADFdi.
  • Extensive experience with data conversions and migrations from legacy Oracle and non-Oracle systems into Fusion Cloud.
  • Knowledge & experience with SDLC, version control, build, test & deployment tools, like & not limited to - Jira, ADO, CI/CD, Git, Oracle DevOps, Postman, Oracle Cloud Test automation.
  • Knowledge & experience with security aspects like SSO/SAML, OAuth, Role based access controls, audit trail configurations.
