Role: Oracle EBS Application Lead Engineer

Location: Alpharetta, GA

Duration: 6 months contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Application Lead Engineer to lead and manage Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) application environments across Development, UAT, and Production hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). The role is responsible for application architecture, administration, upgrades, patching, High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), and coordination with OCI, Database, and Development teams to ensure stable and secure EBS operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage Oracle EBS application environments across Dev, UAT, and Production.
  • Oversee installation, configuration, and administration of Oracle EBS R12 / R12.2.
  • Manage EBS application tier components including WebLogic, Forms, OAF, Concurrent Managers, and Workflow.
  • Plan and execute EBS application patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
  • Lead EBS cloning, refresh, and environment synchronization activities.
  • Design and implement EBS HA and DR architectures in coordination with OCI and DB teams.
  • Support EBS application performance tuning and optimization.
  • Coordinate with Oracle DBA teams for database-related EBS activities.
  • Work closely with OCI Architects and Lead Engineers for infrastructure alignment.
  • Manage EBS security including responsibilities, users, roles, and access controls.
  • Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and resolution for EBS application issues.
  • Support EBS release management, cutovers, and go-live activities.
  • Maintain EBS application documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to EBS engineers.
  • Participate in DR drills, planned maintenance, and on-call support.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) administration.
  • Experience supporting EBS R12 / R12.2 environments.
  • Good experience in Oracle Cloud and DB environments.
  • Strong knowledge of EBS application architecture and components.
  • Experience with EBS patching, upgrades, and cloning.
  • Experience designing and supporting EBS HA and DR solutions.
  • Strong understanding of EBS security and access management.
  • Experience working in OCI or cloud-hosted EBS environments (preferred).
  • Good coordination experience with OCI, DB, and development teams.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Oracle EBS certifications (preferred).
