Job description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administrator — Contract

Location: Onsite in Atlanta, Georgia (100% onsite — this is not a remote or hybrid role).
Engagement: Contract (Corp-to-Corp / C2C).
Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administrator to join our team onsite in Atlanta. The ideal candidate lives and breathes OCI — provisioning, securing, tuning, and troubleshooting production workloads day to day. This is a role for a genuine practitioner, not a resume. Candidates should expect a rigorous technical screen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain production OCI environments (compute, block/object storage, load balancers, DNS).
  • Design and manage OCI networking: VCNs, subnets, security lists, NSGs, route tables, DRGs, FastConnect/VPN, and hybrid connectivity.
  • Own Identity & Access Management (IAM): compartments, policies, dynamic groups, federation, and least-privilege access.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code and automation (Terraform / OCI Resource Manager, CLI, scripting).
  • Manage patching, backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability configurations.
  • Monitor cost, capacity, and performance; tune resources and enforce tagging/governance.
  • Support security, logging, and compliance (Cloud Guard, Vault/KMS, audit, Bastion).
  • Troubleshoot incidents across the stack and produce clear runbooks and documentation.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on OCI administration in production (not just AWS/Azure with brief OCI exposure).
  • Deep, demonstrable experience with OCI IAM, VCN/networking, compute, and storage.
  • Strong Linux administration and scripting (Bash/Python).
  • Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform and/or OCI Resource Manager.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security, backup/DR, and monitoring practices.
  • Ability to work fully onsite in Atlanta, GA, five days a week.
Nice to Have
  • OCI certification (Architect Associate/Professional, or Operations/Networking Professional).
  • Experience migrating workloads from on-prem or other clouds to OCI.
  • Exposure to Oracle Database / Exadata Cloud Service, Kubernetes (OKE), and CI/CD pipelines.

Only candidates who can pass a hands-on technical screen and meet the onsite requirements will be considered. Applications that do not answer the screening questions in detail will not be reviewed.
