Job description

Job Summary:
MDAEdge is a company seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator specializing in Oracle 19c. The role involves managing database systems, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery, and performing backup and restore operations.
Responsibilities:
• Extensive experience with Oracle 19c, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard for database high availability and disaster recovery.
• Proficient in backup and restore strategies for Oracle databases, including disaster recovery planning.
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication and integration.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in securing sensitive data using Oracle TDE.
• Strong experience in managing Oracle databases on Linux systems.
• Ability to automate tasks using Shell scripting or other scripting languages.
• Experience with Oracle Key Vault for managing encryption keys and credentials securely.
• Familiarity with managing databases in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Oracle Cloud, or Azure).
• In-depth knowledge of performance tuning, query optimization, and overall database health.
• Deep understanding and implementation of SQL best practices for efficient query design.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ years' experience supporting database systems
• Solid understanding of SQL best practices
• Strong database maintenance capabilities, including with enterprise database systems
• Experience with database administration in cloud environments
• In-depth knowledge of database and query tuning techniques
• Excellent technical diagnostic abilities including database failure investigation, reproduction, and resolution skills
• Strong prioritization and time management skills are a must
• Attention to detail, diligence, and punctuality in order to accurately document database status
• Good communication skills
