Innovation & Technology Project Manager

The Catalyst Mission
The Catalyst Center serves entrepreneurs and small business owners in every stage of business. We aim to provide best-in-class coaching, in-demand services, and relevant programs to foster the success of small businesses.
Project Objective
The Innovation & Technology Project supports entrepreneurs to transform an innovation or technology into a sustainable business; provide assistance that leads to the commercialization of technology; increase the number of SBIR/STTR proposals leading to an increase in the number of SBIR/STTR awards from small business owners through training and coaching.
Grant Management
Execute all project activities in compliance with SBA grant requirements and the Notice of Award.
Maintain accurate and timely client records.
Prepare workplans and grant reports.
Monitor progress toward grant performance goals.
Identify and cultivate sponsorships, partnerships, and funding opportunities.
Client Services
Provide one-on-one coaching to entrepreneurs.
Develop and deliver high-quality workshops, cohort programs, and educational events.
Review proposals and provide constructive feedback.
Outreach & Volunteer Engagement
Develop and execute outreach strategies that build awareness of the Innovation & Technology Project.
Relationship-building with federal agencies, research institutions, and entrepreneurial support organizations.
Collaborate with Catalyst staff.
Recruit/coordinate subject matter experts and strategic partners.
Leadership:
Maintain a Subject Matter Expert status on SBIR/STTR.
Attend and support Catalyst staff and other Catalyst meetings.
Ensure all applicable policies and procedures are followed by participants.
Develop and maintain relationships with the public/private sector and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field highly preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education and relevant professional experience will also be considered.
Communication:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong presentation and facilitation skills
Professional customer service skills
Hours
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional early and late events.
