What You'll Do:
As OR Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the operating rooms and sterile processing workflow, ensuring every case is executed with precision, efficiency, and the highest level of care.
You will:
Lead OR & Sterile Processing Operations:
  • Oversee daily OR workflow, case preparation, and room readiness
  • Ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique and sterility protocols
  • Manage surgical instruments, equipment, and inventory, including implants and supplies
  • Coordinate with surgeons, sterile processing, and materials management teams
  • Maintain and troubleshoot OR equipment, including coordinating repairs

Support Surgical Excellence:
  • Assist surgeons during procedures and anticipate case needs
  • Ensure surgical teams meet table times and maintain efficient case flow
  • Oversee patient preparation, surgical setup, and post-procedure readiness
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all surgical processes

Train and Develop the Team:
  • Lead training for surgical technicians and assistants in OR protocols and best practices
  • Develop and maintain training materials, SOPs, and infection control protocols
  • Support onboarding and skill development of new team members
  • Partner with leadership to ensure consistent training and performance standards

Drive Efficiency & Compliance:
  • Maintain sterilization processes and ensure all instruments meet compliance standards
  • Monitor inventory, sterilization cycles, and equipment maintenance logs
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, DEA, and hospital safety standards
  • Identify workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and patient care

What We're Looking For:
  • 5-10 years of experience in a surgical or operating room environment (veterinary preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical instrumentation, and sterilization processes
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop team members
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting (with assistance as needed), and working in a clinical environment with exposure to animals, medical equipment, and surgical conditions.
Anticipated Schedule:
This is a full-time position - Monday - Friday - 8am-4pm.
Holidays are required.
Compensation:
$27.00-$35.00 an hour depending on experience.
