Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall functioning of the Nursing Department. As a Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes through implementation of critical pathways and in accordance with the mission of the hospital.
Responsibilities:
  • The OR Manager is responsible for the execution of daily activities within OR and SPD while providing strategic leadership and clinical oversite to a team of RNs, surgical technologist, sterile processing technicians and ancillary staff.
  • Knowledgeable of and will remain current on regulations and standards as they apply to the OR and SPD.
  • The OR Nurse Manager will collaborate with organizational leadership and other medical departments to ensure patient care standards are met.
  • The OR Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures, focusing on achieving quality metrics for the unit and maintaining and improving patient satisfaction scores.
  • Participates in the evaluation of the quality of patient care and in performance improvement activities
  • Previous ASC experience preferred

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • At least two years of OR experience required.
  • Current state licensure to practice. Current BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of employment.
  • PALS certification required.
  • CNOR Certification preferred.
