Title: RN Surgical Services OR Manager


Compensation: $92,000 – $129,000/year (based on experience)


Schedule:

  • Days, Monday through Friday (business hours)
  • On-call rotation required; hours may vary depending on unit needs


Location: Overland Park, Kansas


Position Summary:

A respected acute care hospital in the Kansas City metro area is seeking an experienced RN Surgical Services OR Manager to lead their operating room team. This 340+ bed facility includes a Level II Trauma Center and a wide array of specialized services, including a Level III NICU, dedicated pediatric emergency department, and an advanced maternal fetal health program. The ideal candidate will bring strong perioperative leadership experience and a collaborative, mission-driven approach to patient care.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing leadership for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the surgical services department
  • Manage preadmission testing, pre-operative, operative, and post-operative staff across 11 operating rooms
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other hospital departments to support quality outcomes
  • Maintain accountability for department operations, staffing, patient safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Support and advance the hospital’s mission and strategic goals through effective leadership and resource management
  • Oversee approximately 40 full-time equivalents (FTEs)


Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)
  • Active RN license in the state of Kansas or compact license (in accordance with law and regulation)
  • Minimum 3 years of recent acute care operating room management experience
  • Excellent communication, organizational, leadership, and computer skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Specialty certification (e.g., CPAN) preferred


Compensation & Incentives:

  • Base Salary: $92,081 – $128,939/year (based on experience; $44.27 – $61.99/hr)
  • Sign-On Bonus: Available, case-by-case
