FULL TIME HOURLY LEAD TEACHER
INFANT - PRE K @ GIBBS COMMUNITY LEARNING CENTER
Seeking Individuals who will...
  • Serve as a warm, attentive role model for children by guiding through simple, positive examples, encouraging safe exploration and early healthy habits, and ensuring a safe, responsive environment that meets the needs of each child.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or higher in education or related field or CPL level 3 or above preferred (CDA accepted)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma/GED (required)

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Early childhood classroom experience, including lesson planning & conducting assessments
  • Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice

Starting Pay:
$15.00- $18.00/HR
Position Description:
  • Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans
  • Responsible for well-being and personal growth of the children
  • Assists in potty training
  • Leads the classroom team that includes supervision of Assistant Teachers
  • Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child
  • Conducts parent conferences, and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents
  • Maintains classroom and program equipment
  • Maintains required program records
  • Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training
  • Maintains training in First aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Abuse Awareness as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year. (trainings provided by YMCA and affiliates)
