Optometric Technician / Medical Scribe (Will Train)


Salary: $17.00$20.00 per hour


Curtis Eye Care Optometrist in Byron Center, MI, is looking for a full-time Optometric

Technician / Medical Scribe to join our friendly and fast-paced team. We are a privately

owned practice located at 2155 84th Street SW. Our ideal candidate is attentive,

ambitious, and engaged.

MondayThursday: 9:00 AM5:00 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM4:00 PM

Approximately 3-4 Saturday mornings per year.


Responsibilities

Set up and sanitize exam rooms

Perform pre-testing for patients

Enter dictated information into EHR software during patient visits

Manage correspondence to and from other providers

Provide consistent, exceptional patient service


Qualifications


Previous medical or optical experience preferred but not required

Willing to train the right candidate

Familiarity with medical equipment preferred

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient interaction skills

Ability to learn new software quickly and accurately

Ability to document accurately in EHR medical software

Office Mate / Exam Writer experience is a plus, but not required

Strong English usage, spelling, grammar, and editing skills
