Job description

This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive eye care while working alongside an integrated care team committed to improving the health and well-being of underserved communities.

Salary: $154,500-$185,450 (based on Full Time)

Schedule: Part Time, between Monday-Friday

*Higher compensation may be available for direct, relatable experience*

Benefit Highlights (will be prorated for part time):

  • Employer-paid Health Insurance (medical, dental and vision): 100% for employee and 80% for dependents.
  • 17 Vacation Days, 11 Paid Holidays, 8+ Days Sick Leave (1 hour for every 30 hours worked)

  • CME allowance, DEA fee waiver and low patient to provider ratio

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose visual and ocular conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans using corrective lenses, vision therapy, and pharmacological treatment approaches.
  • Deliver high-quality diabetic eye care and preventative services, emphasizing early detection and management of diabetic retinopathy through available technology and resources.
  • Collaborate closely with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care and appropriate specialty referrals.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Optometry Department, including inventory oversight, equipment maintenance, quality assurance of prescription lenses, and continuous service improvement.
  • Educate patients and staff on eye health, preventative care, and treatment options while promoting Chapa-De's mission, values, and commitment to culturally responsive care.
