Optometric Technician essential duties and responsibilities include:
  • Customer reception and service.
  • Maintain patient records, schedule appointments, collect payments and filing.
  • Obtain Insurance information and authorization, including referrals.
  • Facilitate Insurance and patient billing and collection.
  • Prepares patient for vision examination and assist with testing and documentation.
  • Instruct patient in care and use of contact lenses.
  • Order contact lenses for individual patients.
  • Maintain contact lens and medical product inventory.
  • Promote contact lens and eye product sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of office.
  • Participate in continuing education.
Optometric Technician required skills & qualifications include:
