We are excited to add a Procurement Specialist to our Procurement team! The position will pay between $70,000 - $85,000 based on previous relevant experience and educational credentials.  This is a full-time role hybrid role with a few days a week working at our Marietta office.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Partner with stakeholders across MIMEDX to develop a comprehensive understanding of material and service requirements, delivering value through strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and effective procurement solutions. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure business needs are met while supporting the company’s operational and financial objectives. Leverage AI-driven tools and data insights to enhance productivity, strengthen decision-making, and drive innovative procurement practices that build strong supplier partnerships and contribute to overall organizational success.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute procurement of materials and services from suppliers by creating and maintaining purchase orders.
  • Evaluate new and existing suppliers, materials, and services to create synergy across business organizations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to advance supply chain initiatives that support the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors to support supplier development opportunities.
  • Track and report assigned spend areas, supplier performance, compliance metrics, and key performance indicators for business-critical suppliers.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and communications to confirm shipping schedules, monitor open purchase orders, and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Proactively report and resolve material availability issues while providing supply status and shipment tracking to internal customers.
  • Monitor and update QAD to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Own supplier relationship management activities and foster an environment of trust and cooperation.
  • Identify and utilize AI-powered tools for daily tasks, including data analysis, report generation, and content creation.
  • Manage the contract lifecycle management (CLM) tool, ensuring accurate configuration, timely updates, and compliance with organizational policies.

 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Procurement or Supply Chain
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Procurement and/or Supply Chain
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-powered software and platforms
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) designation preferred
  • Prefer experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device or similar current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) environment

 

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to gain trust and confidence of internal stakeholders and the supplier base.
  • Strong persuasive communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to support multiple functional areas.
  • Familiarity with general AI concepts and their practical applications to streamline daily tasks and communications.
  • Project management skills with the ability to track, report, and deliver expected results from start to finish.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
