Job description

Full Charge Bookkeeper / Senior Accountant

 

Optimum Polymer Technologies, Inc. (OPT) is seeking a full time Senior Accountant to join their growing organization located in Memphis, TN. This position would appeal to those who enjoy a small office environment with a fast pace transforming agenda. The candidate best suited for this position would be highly motivated, possess the ability of learning new tasks easily, has the ability to work well with others while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

 

Responsibilities to Include:  

Ø  Continuation of full cycle accounting model implementation

Ø  Creation and maintenance of customer, vendor and sales representative records

Ø  A/R maintenance - preparation of monthly statements- collection

Ø  A/P maintenance - including purchase orders

Ø  Tracking, creating and issuing of commission and sales reports for multiple sales reps.

Ø  Multiple Bank reconciliations for depository accounts

Ø  Reconcile balance sheet accounts; reviewing for input accuracy

Ø  Journal entries, as needed – Barter/Contra Accounts

Ø  Prepare bi-weekly payroll

Ø  Administration of quarterly business and payroll taxes

Ø  Maintain required business documents

Ø  Prepare annual 1099’s

Ø  Future assistance with the annual budget and audit process

Ø  Prepare and/or review of all expense reports for accuracy and proper expense disclosure

Ø  Perform other related duties as may be requested by the CEO

Requirements:

Ø  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with CPA or equivalent

Ø  Proficient in accounting software  - QuickBooks Pro Series

Ø  Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Ø  Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ø  Ability to prioritize multiple projects

Ø  Highly organized and detail oriented

Ø  Able to complete tasks accurately and timely with minimal supervision

Ø  Strong verbal and written communication skills

Ø  Thrives in a collaborative, team player office environment

Ø  Ability to interface well with staff and external contacts

Ø  Ability to adapt to changing job requirements.
