Job Summary:
ASSA ABLOY Group is a global leader in access solutions, seeking a Senior Manager of Digital Strategy Experience to advance the digital landscape across various product lines. The role involves defining digital strategies, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with organizational priorities to drive impactful digital initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Define and socialize DX strategies across websites, eCommerce web shops, and digital tools; develop roadmap w/spring cycles and manage accountability from all resources
• Set UX/UI principles and design standards; ensure accessibility and usability; partner with Brand/Marketing to maintain a consistent, differentiated experience across brands and product lines.
• Own the overall digital ecosystem design and operating model across CMS (e.g., AEM), commerce capabilities, analytics/tagging, and integrations with ERP and other enterprise services.
• Establish governance for product data, digital assets, and content lifecycle (taxonomy, metadata, approvals, localization); ensure quality, timeliness, and reusability across channels.
• Drive technical SEO and content discoverability (including generative search optimization where relevant); oversee performance, speed, and Core Web Vitals; reduce friction in key journeys.
• Define KPI framework, dashboards, and experimentation approach (A/B testing, personalization where appropriate); use insights to prioritize improvements and quantify impact.
• Partner with Marketing, IT, Sales, Product, Legal/Compliance, and regional teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions; manage tradeoffs, scope, and timelines.
• Select and manage agencies/partners; set SLAs and delivery standards; manage budgets, forecasting, and value realization.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy, consent management, cybersecurity standards, and brand/legal requirements; define governance for releases and change control.
• Lead, coach, and develop an internal team and extended matrix; define roles, capabilities, and ways of working to scale delivery.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Must have 8–12+ years in digital experience, digital strategy, web, or eCommerce roles.
• Must have 5+ years in leading cross‑functional teams and agency partners.
• Demonstrated ability to define experience standards, govern content and product data, and improve end‑to‑end customer journeys.
• Strong experience leading UI/UX initiatives.
• User Experience leadership with working knowledge of infrastructure, cloud platforms, and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery practices.
• Oversee vendor selections and evaluations. This includes total cost of ownership, implementation complexity, and ecosystem fit.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, align competing priorities, and build high‑performing teams within a matrixed organization.
• Proven use of analytics, experimentation, and key performance indicator frameworks to improve acquisition, conversion, and engagement.
• Working knowledge of privacy and consent requirements, accessibility expectations, and secure‑by‑design practices for digital platforms.
• Content Management System landscape: Experience with enterprise platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Sitecore, Optimizely, Drupal, and headless or composable alternatives.
• Headless and hybrid Content Management System patterns: Decoupled front ends, content application programming interfaces, and omnichannel delivery.
• Content Management System vendor evaluation and selection: Total cost of ownership, implementation complexity, and ecosystem fit.
• Adobe Experience Manager familiarity.
• Adobe Experience Manager Cloud Service awareness: Cloud migration considerations.
