Position Purpose:
The Sr. Analyst SEO Content Operations is responsible for driving organic growth, foot traffic, and discoverability for The Home Depot across the local search landscape (including Google Maps, Apple Maps, local directories, and AI-driven search engines). In this role, the Sr. Analyst will leverage SEO, GEO, and local search best practices to audit, optimize, and scale our local listings ecosystem. The Sr. Analyst will lead content enhancements and optimize data pipelines to improve visibility for thousands of retail locations. This role requires seamless coordination with internal business teams, engineering partners, and third-party location management vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 20 % Cross-functional partnership- Meet with key stakeholders and business partners to align on opportunities and risks, strategic priorities, and to share page/site level insights. Represent SEO for assigned functional areas and work with partners to ensure SEO projects are prioritized into overall workstreams.
  • 10% Professional Development and Process Improvement- Staying informed on the latest industry changes with SEO and working to incorporate new strategies into existing processes.
  • 25% Project planning and implementation- Coordinate with product management and engineering partners to plan, prioritize, and implement SEO optimizations.
  • 15% Reporting & Measurement- Track the performance of assigned pages/functions, measure the impact of SEO optimization projects, and provide data driven insights for continued improvement.
  • 30% SEO Strategy and Analysis- Monitor site performance and conduct research and testing to identify opportunities to increase organic traffic and content visibility.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prior experience with enterprise-level SEO and GEO, preferably in an e-commerce environment, focusing on industry accepted best practices
  • Experience with enterprise-level SEO and GEO content creation and editing
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and presentation software (e.g., Microsoft PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience with Local SEO tools, such as Google Business Profile and Apple Maps
  • Experience with AI tools, such as Gemini and Copilot
  • Experience with enterprise-level SEO tools, such as Google Search Console, Lumar, BrightEdge, etc.
  • Experience with analytical tools, such as Google Big Query, Customer Journey Analytics, Tableau, etc.
  • Strong project management skills with experience with project management software, such as JIRA, Confluence, and Trello
  • Proven track record with successfully advocating for SEO, prioritizing work in a highly matrixed environment, and measuring the impact of optimizations
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze large amounts of data to identify insights and take action
  • Ability to convey complex or technical ideas and processes in easy-to-understand terms to diverse audiences
