Job description

We are seeking an experienced RF Optimization Engineer to support LTE and 5G network performance optimization activities. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in RF optimization, KPI analysis, drive testing, network troubleshooting, and performance improvement of LTE and 5G RAN environments.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze network performance, identify optimization opportunities, implement corrective actions, and ensure superior customer experience across wireless networks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform LTE and 5G NR RF optimization activities to improve network performance and customer experience.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including Accessibility, Retainability, Mobility, Throughput, Call Setup Success Rate, Drop Call Rate, and Handover Success Rate.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for network performance degradations and recommend optimization solutions.
  • Perform cluster optimization, single-site verification, and post-launch optimization activities.
  • Optimize LTE and 5G parameters including PCI, neighbors, handovers, carrier aggregation, ENDC, and mobility settings.
  • Analyze drive test and walk test data using industry-standard tools.
  • Identify and resolve coverage, capacity, interference, and quality issues.
  • Support new site integrations, site acceptance testing, and network modernization projects.
  • Work with engineering, operations, and field teams to implement network improvements.
  • Generate optimization reports and provide recommendations to management and customers.
  • Participate in performance review meetings and present optimization findings.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in LTE and 5G RF Optimization.
  • Strong understanding of LTE, LTE-A, VoLTE, 5G NSA, and 5G SA architectures.
  • Experience with KPI analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Knowledge of RF propagation, coverage planning, capacity planning, and interference analysis.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
