The Killingly GES Optimization Coordinator is responsible for the creation of the daily optimization solutions for the Killingly Traffic Center. Using Transportation optimization technology, this role owns the planning and execution of the Killingly GES Optimization business process from origination of orders through final tender of loads and trips and then scheduling and planning through the local processes.

Work with the GES Recovery team to resolve daily optimization issues that are occurring with the Killingly Optimization.


Responsibilities
  • Work closely with Killingly Traffic personnel and Killingly Warehouse personnel (CSRs) on optimal routing solutions for the sites.

    • Execute the planning of the daily GES transportation optimization processes for the Killingly Traffic Center
    • Develop recommendations and execute action plans to improve performance
    • Work with GES recovery team to troubleshoot issues within the transportation planning applications
    • Work with the GES recovery team to resolve daily execution issues that arise
    • Deliver Transportation GES metrics and Key Performance Indicators
  • Working Shift: Sunday 3pm-1am, Monday 3pm-1am, Thursday 5am-3pm, Friday 5am-3pm
  • Interface daily with the warehouse team, OTR drivers, Fleet team, and Sales team to ensure we have on-time deliveries to our customers.
  • Provide input to the Leadership Team on managing Traffic Center cost to include empty miles reduction, equipment & driver utilization, and networking efficiencies.
  • Award, post and communicate OTR board run assignments to OTR drivers.
  • Coordinate the delivery of loads tendered to Common Carriers and Local Carriers.
  • Maintain the Dispatch Tracker (Dispatch timeliness, On-time delivery, Return timeliness, Tractors that need PM service, changes made to runs, etc.)
  • Participate in Traffic Run Right Venues
  • Adjust delivery sequences in the Dispatch Planning System as necessary.
  • Make value-added decisions to ensure World Class Service to Sales.
  • Resolve dispatch issues driven by order changes, ship date delays or driver availability.
  • Performing other administrative duties as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $45,900 - $73,250.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
