Job description

FocusOne Mortgage is seeking an experienced Mortgage Systems Administrator to join our team in Houston, Texas. This full-time position plays a critical role in supporting and optimizing the technology platforms that drive our mortgage operations, including Encompass and related vendor systems. The ideal candidate combines strong mortgage industry knowledge with hands-on systems administration expertise and a passion for improving processes, integrations, and user experience.
What You'll Do
  • Own Encompass administration end-to-end, including business rules, user and security setup, milestone and channel configuration, and audit preparation.
  • Administer and support core vendor platforms - including Optimal Blue, Lender Logix, Argyle, and Insellerate (Addy AI) - and serve as the Encompass-side point of contact for MSP interface points, ensuring smooth operation and integration with Encompass.
  • Serve as implementation project manager for new systems and programs, including the APS program (Encompass build from the ground up) and Encompass TPO setup to support the correspondent lending channel.
  • Provide integration support across LOS, PPE, POS, and servicing platforms, coordinating with IT, vendors, and internal stakeholders on connection points and data flow.

  • Recommend and implement process or system improvements to support efficiency and compliance.

What We're Looking For
  • 2+ years of experience with Encompass360 administration and/or IT support.
  • Experience administering or supporting additional mortgage technology platforms, such as Optimal Blue, POS systems, or similar LOS-adjacent vendor tools, strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage lifecycle (origination, processing, underwriting, closing, post-closing, and secondary).
  • Experience supporting system implementations, vendor integrations, or technology project management is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment.
  • Encompass360 certification preferred.

Compensation & Location
  • Salary: Approximately $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
  • Location: Houston, Texas. This position is on-site and is not eligible for remote work.

Why Join Us
At FocusOne, we partner with credit unions to deliver outstanding mortgage and auto lending solutions. You'll work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment with direct ownership over the systems that power our origination and servicing platforms, with real opportunities to shape processes, improve efficiency, and support company growth.
