Responsibilities
As an Optical Sales Associate, you will:
Deliver outstanding customer service while creating a positive patient experience.
Verify vision insurance eligibility and explain available benefits.
Process optical orders for eyeglasses and contact lenses accurately.
Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens enhancements that fit their visual needs and lifestyle.
Educate patients on lens technology, coatings, and eyewear options.
Coordinate with optical laboratories to monitor order status and ensure timely delivery.
Handle billing, documentation, and order management with attention to detail.
Collaborate with doctors and staff to provide seamless patient care.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two or more years of optical sales or optical retail experience preferred.
Strong customer service and sales abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Experience with vision insurance verification is preferred.
