An OPT (Optional Practical Training) Student job is a temporary work opportunity for international students in the U.S. on an F-1 visa. It allows students to gain practical experience in their field of study either during or after completing their academic program. OPT can be up to 12 months, with an additional 24-month extension for eligible STEM graduates. Students must apply for work authorization through USCIS before starting employment.
