Summary:
This position works and meets with individual students to help them uncover their interests and strengths and empower them to create action steps to get them to their final destination of securing an internship and job. Connect with groups of students by presenting in classrooms and participating with student life programing.
Job Description:
Essential duties and responsibilities
  • Manage administrative processes and CRM systems for the office such as Handshake, Internship Registration Form (Jira), Navigate EAB, and Workday Student
  • Meet with students & alumni one on one or individually by appointment regarding internships and employment
    • Explain resources such as CareerShift, Handshake, LinkedIn, What Can I Do With This Major, and the Internship Registration Form
    • Coach on professionalism and networking with employers
    • Utilize analytics for monthly reporting and progress tracking
    • Ensure that faculty understand internship process
  • Faculty liason for internships and employment across all colleges
  • Maintain accurate data, records, and files to track the internship registration and completion of required internship courses; develop statistical reports and presentations for executive leadership and faculty
  • Facilitate semester-end internship survey for students
  • Actively find & improve system processes to make the Career Center more efficient
  • Conduct classroom presentations as requested about Career Center services
  • Excellent understanding of CPT/OPT process; ability to guide and mentor international students while maintaining knowledge of international & federal government laws regarding employment in the US
  • In-depth knowledge of all degree programs offered at Lynn University & relating career paths
  • Participate on First Generation Committee
  • Participate and represent Career Connections at Family and Parents weekend
  • Managing the "hired board"
  • Cultivate relationships across campus
  • All other duties as assigned
