Job description

Role: Controls Engineer

Visa: USC GC EAD H4 OPT

Location: Georgetown KY – Onsite

 

 About the role:

Our client is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer, ready to bring their skills, experience, and energy to a great, growing team.

What you'll be doing…

  • Designing electrical systems for mechanical/hydraulic power stamping presses and related automation upgrades.
  • Creating and modifying HMI, PLC, and Safety PLC programs using various software on different hardware platforms.
  • Supervising installation and providing Full Line Commissioning support.
  • Performing risk assessments and managing hardwire, panel, and field device layouts.
  • Collaborating with Engineers, Electricians, and Millwrights to oversee installation tasks and resolve construction-related issues.

The right person has…

  • BS in Electrical Engineering/technologies or technician degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with AutoCad Electrical and PLC programming (Rockwell, Mitsubishi, Siemens).
  • Proficiency in electrical hardware design, modification, and commissioning.
  • Ability to multitask effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work in Canada and Mexico, including weekends and holidays as necessary.
