Position Overview

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Therapists to join our robust team at the Counseling Center for Individual and Family Therapy Inc. Work Environment

This role is uniquely positioned to offer flexible remote work within an outpatient office setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the specific needs of each patient and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, and families, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational and support groups addressing common mental health concerns, fostering community and connection among participants.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive and holistic patient care.
  • Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective assistance.
  • Educate patients on mental health conditions, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them on their journey to recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring clarity and transparency in patient care.
  • Participate actively in ongoing case consultations and professional development activities, contributing to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Stay apprised of advancements in the field of mental health therapy by engaging in regular professional development and research.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse clientele includes individuals of all ages facing various mental health challenges, from adolescents grappling with anxiety to adults managing complex relational issues. Our therapists are committed to tailoring their therapeutic approach based on the unique cultural, social, and personal contexts of each patient, which enriches the therapeutic experience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT within the state of California.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies, along with the ability to conduct thorough mental health assessments.
  • Proven experience delivering both individual and group therapy in diverse settings, demonstrating effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Sound judgment with a strong adherence to ethical standards and professional boundaries during therapy sessions.
  • Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and a willingness to adapt to new technology as necessary.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively within a multidisciplinary team structure.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused therapies preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with various treatment modalities and the ability to integrate different therapeutic techniques based on patient needs.
  • Previous work in outpatient settings or telehealth environments is a plus.
