Our practice is built on a philosophy that emphasizes empathy, understanding, and professional integrity. We offer a variety of psychotherapeutic services tailored to meet the unique needs of adolescents, adults, and families. By prioritizing the therapeutic relationship, we strive to help our clients achieve their personal growth goals and improve their overall quality of life. Our culture fosters collaboration, innovation, and respect among all staff members, creating an atmosphere that empowers our counselors to thrive.

Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility in work hours while maintaining a focus on client engagement. You will have the opportunity to work in our outpatient office when needed, offering face-to-face interaction with clients and collaborative meetings with colleagues. Our facilities are newly designed with modern amenities, promoting a comfortable and efficient workspace. Furthermore, we have implemented strong administrative support to allow clinicians to concentrate on clinical responsibilities rather than administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize a range of psychotherapeutic techniques to assess and treat clients with diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including developing personalized treatment plans and discharge strategies that reflect each client's unique needs.
  • Facilitate individual, group, or family therapy sessions, adapting to the specific therapeutic needs of each patient.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of therapy services in alignment with facility protocols and ethical guidelines.
  • Manage a caseload effectively, ensuring timely and consistent care for all clients while balancing administrative requirements.
  • Participate in weekly treatment team meetings to collaborate with fellow clinicians, addressing client treatment updates and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional demeanor with clients, always prioritizing patient safety.
  • Respond constructively to client feedback, working to resolve any issues that may arise in the therapeutic process.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to enhance the overall effectiveness and operation of the counseling program.
Patient Population / Client Focus

We cater to a diverse clientele that includes children, adolescents, and adults with a range of mental health challenges. Our focus is on delivering high-quality therapeutic services that address depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues, among others. As part of your role, you will engage with various age groups, tailoring your therapeutic approaches accordingly. This facilitates a comprehensive understanding of the mental health landscape across different stages of life.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is mandatory.
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, state licensure as a mental health professional (LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) is essential.
  • A strong theoretical foundation and practical experience in the field of mental health counseling.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working with a diverse population of clients, particularly with adolescents and families.
  • Experience in conducting various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems therapy.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams for client-centered care.
Compensation and Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a robust salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid parental leave to support family needs.
  • Three weeks of paid vacation to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
  • Annual stock awards to foster a sense of ownership and investment in the company.
  • A collegial work environment that promotes collaboration and open communication.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Avalon Diagnostic and Counseling Center, we believe in nurturing the professional growth of our staff. We offer ongoing training and development programs, enabling counselors to expand their expertise and stay updated with the latest therapeutic practices. Opportunities for advancement into leadership roles and specialized positions are available for those who demonstrate initiative and dedication to their professional development.
