Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
Experience creating testing efficiencies and automation strategies in enterprise environments.

2. Playwright Expertise
Deep experience with Playwright for end-to-end UI automation and browser testing.
Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or AI-assisted testing frameworks is highly preferred.
Ability to develop and maintain modern automation frameworks leveraging Playwright and related technologies.

Understanding of end-to-end HR business processes, including Hire-to-Retire and Hire-to-Pay workflows.
Experience working with Workday HCM modules such as Core HR, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition is highly preferred.

4. Technical Agility
Open-minded approach to automation tools and testing methodologies.
Ability to evaluate new technologies and recommend innovative solutions.
Comfortable researching and implementing modern automation practices rather than relying on a single toolset.

5. Consultative Mindset
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to partner with business and technical teams to understand requirements and recommend efficient testing strategies.
Comfortable working in a highly collaborative environment where the automation framework is being established from the ground up.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions across the Workday ecosystem.
Build and enhance automation frameworks using Playwright and other modern testing tools.
Create automated regression, functional, and integration test suites.
Support Workday releases, enhancements, and ongoing platform updates.
Develop and maintain Workday integrations using APIs, Workday Studio, and EIB.
Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders to optimize testing coverage and business processes.
Troubleshoot automation, integration, and system issues.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across Workday environments.
Document automation frameworks, test strategies, and technical solutions.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
4+ years of experience supporting Workday (HCM, Finance, Payroll, or related modules).
Strong experience with automation framework development and test automation.
Hands-on experience with Playwright, Selenium, or comparable automation tools.
Experience with Workday integrations, APIs, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and XSLT.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development methodologies.

Nice to Have
Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or AI-assisted automation frameworks.
Experience with Opkey, Kainos SmartTest, Katalon Studio, ReadyAPI, or REST Assured.
Workday certifications and advanced Workday integration experience.

Ideal Candidate
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building automation solutions from the ground up, has strong Playwright expertise, understands HR business processes, and can serve as a trusted advisor while helping establish best practices for Workday automation testing.
