Job description

Overview:
Machine Operator is an entry level position that reports to the Production Supervisor. A Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating the band saw, press brakes, shears, and ironworkers in order to assist the production team in completing customer orders per the direction of their supervisor. It is essential the Machine Operator promotes a safe and efficient work environment while embracing a continuous improvement culture.
Essential Duties:
  • Safely operate band saws, press brakes, shears, and ironworkers
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Aids with general assembly in fabrication department
  • Moves materials through the operation of cranes, forklifts and/or pallet jacks
  • Assist co-workers and the department supervisor with meeting production targets
  • Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
  • Take on other duties as necessary to achieve company goals

Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience operating band saws, press brakes, shears and ironworkers is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to read a tape measure up to 16ths
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Solid communication skills
  • Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (50lbs +)

  • Hourly - Full Time (M-F; 7:00AM-3:30PM; potential overtime opportunities)
