Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Operating Room RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality perioperative care, assist surgeons, and ensure patient safety throughout the surgical process. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to high standards of patient care.

Duties

• Assist in preparing the operating room for procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are ready.
• Provide perioperative care, including circulating and scrubbing duties, to support surgical teams.
• Monitor patients throughout the procedure, managing their care according to the physician's instructions.
• Document procedures accurately in electronic health record systems, such as Epic or Meditech.
• Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain patient safety standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive, efficient patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and workflow efficiency.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an OR RN in a hospital or acute care setting.
• Must have completed two years of acute care or relevant experience within the last 3 years.
• Experience in rural healthcare settings is preferred.

Requirements

• Active Iowa RN license or Compact license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required.
