Description

High Valley Transit, located in Utah, is seeking candidates for Operator Trainees to obtain their Class B CDL permit with passenger endorsement. During training, the trainee will learn how to successfully be responsible for safely transporting people by bus on regularly scheduled High Valley Transit bus routes; pre & post trip procedures; and communicate with dispatch. 


Graduation from the training program will be based off of successfully passing Class B CDL permit tests. Upon Graduation employees will move into an HVT Operator role.






Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid Utah driver's license with no moving violations in the past six months
  • Must pass a criminal and background check
  • Must pass a drug screening
  • Demonstration of recent customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to perform the physical requirement of the job including regular walking, floor to waist lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally/carrying up to 15 lbs. occasionally, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, crouching, balancing, bending, and prolonged periods of sitting and standing
  • Willing to obtain Class B permit with Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement
  • Ability to obtain a Medical DOT Card before receiving Commercial Learners Permit (CLP)
