 What you'll do

As a Machine Operator, you'll be at the heart of operationsโ€”right on the production floor where materials take shape.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Obtaining production orders and verifying stock specifications and material condition before production begins.

  • Performing all production activities, including machine set-up, operation, cleanup, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Completing production reports and required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Performing production tasks involving repetitive hand movements, standing, lifting, moving, and packing materials.

  • Proactively identifying equipment issues and submitting maintenance requests when repairs are required.

  • Following all company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety standards, housekeeping requirements, and government regulations.

  • Assisting second and third operators with machine operation and performing other duties assigned by the Production Supervisor.

 Your strengths as a Machine Operator

You are a natural fit for this role if you have:

  • A minimum of 1โ€“2 years of machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in the corrugated industry (considered an asset).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.

  • The ability to read and understand work instructions, production documentation, and use basic computer systems.

  • The ability to lift 35 lbs and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.

  • The ability to read both metric and imperial tape measurements accurately.

  • A strong commitment to workplace safety, quality, and operational efficiency, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
