CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

The Machine Operator will operate CNC machines in a modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing environment. This role involves setting up equipment, monitoring production, performing basic troubleshooting, and ensuring that all parts meet precise specifications through accurate measurement and inspection.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
  • Perform machine setup, including loading programs, installing tooling, and preparing materials according to work instructions and blueprints.
  • Monitor machine operations and production runs, making basic adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished parts into and out of CNC machines, including handling awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Change and adjust machine tools to meet specific production requirements and part specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on CNC equipment and promptly report any mechanical issues or abnormalities.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and tape measures.
  • Interpret and work from technical blueprints and detailed work instructions to ensure parts meet exact dimensional and quality standards.
  • Support the CNC machining center with general production tasks, including material handling, part preparation, and machine support activities.
  • Stand for extended periods while operating equipment and performing inspections in a production environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.75 - $23.25/hr.
