Job description

Pharmacy Technician (Trainee, Licensed or Certified) / Warehouse Inventory & Fulfillment

The Pharmacy Technician I supports daily operations by performing license-required tasks that support order fulfillment. The technician is expected to work across Pharmacy Operations and consistently meet metrics. Flexibility is essential, as the role involves moving between workflows based on demands. In addition to metrics, the technician is also responsible for meeting shipping performance targets.

As a Pharmacy Technician Trainee, you will:

  • Receive comprehensive training on pharmacy practices and regulations.
  • Gain hands-on experience under the supervision of licensed pharmacists and technicians.
  • Be supported in the process of applying for and obtaining your Oregon Pharmacy Technician License within the first 30 days of hire.

This position is a full-time, on-site role based at our Pharmacy Warehouse near Gresham, OR. This position requires 40 hours per week, typically scheduled Monday-Friday between our operating hours of 7:30 am-4:00 pm PT with a rotating Saturday from 7:30 am-4:00 pm PT.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the pharmacists with daily order dispensing in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures
    • Unit dose compliance packaging and tablet fill
    • Pick and label prescription orders
    • Package and ship orders
    • Perform basic receiving functions
  • Rotate between stations within the pharmacy
  • Assist in Production duties by building compliance units for top veterinary care products (flea, tick, heartworm preventatives) from bulk packages into individual single unit envelopes
  • Restock and clean workstations in preparation for following shift
  • Occasional replenishment of supplies such as box making and assembly of box carts as necessary
  • Participate in scheduled pharmacy inventories and recycling efforts

What You Bring

  • Trainee Technician: Willingness and ability to apply for your State Pharmacy Technician license within the first 30 days of employment (we'll guide you!)
  • Licensed Technician: Current valid pharmacy technician license in good standing for the state in which you will be based
  • Certified Technician: Current valid pharmacy certification in good standing for the state in which you will be based.
  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • 6+ months previous warehouse, fulfillment, inventory or pharmacy experience
  • Team building skills: be positive, respectful, self-motivated, and dependable
  • Strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and detail-oriented
  • Problem solving skills: adaptable, thorough, and innovative
  • Must adhere to policies and procedures, be accountable, and be committed to continuous quality improvement
  • Ability to work and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Veterinary or Pharmacy experience
  • Warehouse/fulfillment experience

Working Conditions

  • Environment where dogs are present if in the office
  • Lifting and shelving items weighing up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Ability to work standing on pressurized concrete for long periods of time
  • Occasionally stooping, lifting, and/or bending
  • Occasionally reaching overhead and using a step ladder
