Job description

The Operations Support Coordinator is responsible for coordinating critical administrative and operational support functions for the plant/site. This role oversees activities related to laboratory and quality support, customer documentation, logistics coordination, shipment processing, receiving, vendor/service coordination, and operational reporting to ensure efficient day-to-day business operations. 

The position serves as a key link between operations, quality, customer service, logistics providers, vendors, and accounting functions.

  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of shipping paperwork, invoicing, and billing documentation.
  • Coordinate outbound and inbound logistics with carriers, customers, and plant personnel.
  • Support receiving activities for parts, supplies, and contracted services including documentation verification and system entry.
  • Support creating Requisitions for parts and service the facility needs.
  • Maintain operational records, production reports, shipping logs, and inventory-related documentation.
  • Assist with scheduling and coordination of vendor services, contractors, and site support activities.
  • Assist with scheduling of plant personnel 
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, quality, accounting, and customer service teams to resolve issues and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Support compliance with company policies, quality standards, safety requirements, and regulatory expectations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and administrative accuracy.
  • Supervise and prioritize workload for operational support personnel as assigned.
  • Provide backup support for key administrative and operational processes as needed.
