Job description

Position Summary The Operations Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting day-to-day logistics and workforce functions within our 3PL operation. This position bridges administrative and operational responsibilities, ensuring accurate workforce timekeeping, payroll clearing, transportation routing, and general operations support. In addition, the Operations Support Specialist will directly assist the General Manager with vendor coordination, supply needs, and reporting, helping to ensure smooth site operations and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities • Workforce & Payroll Support o Manage ADP timecard clearing, adjustments, and reporting to ensure accuracy in payroll processing. o Monitor attendance and timekeeping exceptions; communicate with supervisors to resolve discrepancies. o Support HR/Operations teams with workforce data and reporting as needed. • Transportation & Routing Support o Assist with routing and scheduling for transportation to ensure timely client deliveries. o Coordinate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve routing issues or delays. o Track and report on transportation KPIs and exceptions. • General Manager Support o Assist the General Manager with vendor communications, supply ordering, and operational reporting. o Maintain inventory of operational supplies and support procurement needs. o Support GM with ad hoc operational projects and initiatives. • Operational & Administrative Support o Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and communications to support daily operations. o Partner with supervisors and managers to support onboarding of new clients and operational transitions. o Assist in process improvements related to workforce management and transportation efficiency. Qualifications • Previous experience in a 3PL, logistics, or warehouse operations environment preferred. • Working knowledge of ADP or other timekeeping/payroll systems. • Strong understanding of transportation routing and scheduling. • Experience with vendor coordination and supply management preferred. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word); WMS/TMS experience is a plus. • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
