Position Overview
Northrop Grumman's client is seeking a detail-oriented Security Support 2 professional to support security operations and administrative functions in Newport News, Virginia. The selected candidate will be responsible for processing security documentation, issuing employee and visitor credentials, maintaining access control records, and supporting personnel security activities in a fast-paced environment.
This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, experience handling sensitive information, and the ability to work within established security procedures and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce and issue employee badges, identification cards, and security access cards.
  • Process security-related information and maintain employment, clearance, and property control records.
  • Collect and submit electronic fingerprints, handprints, and biometric information into designated systems.
  • Maintain lock and key inventories and associated security records.
  • Process visitor and employee authorization requests for access to restricted and controlled areas.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of security documentation before issuing credentials or access approvals.
  • Maintain controlled documents, records, and sensitive security information in accordance with company and government regulations.
  • Support personnel security activities and administrative security functions.
  • Enter, update, and maintain security data within electronic databases and tracking systems.
  • Provide customer service support to employees, visitors, and contractors regarding badge and access requests.
  • Ensure compliance with established security policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and security record reviews as required.
Required Qualifications
