Job description

What You Will Do
• Provide coverage across Delivery Operations when managers, supervisors, dispatchers, or support roles are off, unavailable, or focused on higher-priority needs.
• Support AM and PM dispatch functions, including route setup, paperwork, phones, printers, driver materials, equipment readiness, and daily route adjustments.
• Assist drivers throughout the day with route issues, account concerns, closures, delays, breakdowns, accidents, injuries, phone/printer problems, and other delivery-related needs.
• Monitor route progress, identify delayed routes, and escalate service, safety, staffing, equipment, or customer concerns early.
• Support delivery reporting and follow-up, including logs, stem reports, pushed stop/load emails, missed stop follow-up, Jotform submissions, and dispatch records.
• Assist with compliance and administrative tasks such as LYTX follow-up, driver coaching documentation, Fleetworthy records, parking ticket research, affidavits, EZ Pass/traffic violations, and related records.
• Support manpower planning, daily assignments, route reviews, time-off calendar updates, timesheet review, payroll corrections, onboarding, meetings, and special projects.
• Train on Brooklyn shipping/routing support, including route sequencing, shipping reports, order review, delivery instructions, off-day reports, and service time updates.
• Provide Saturday dispatch or other schedule coverage when assigned.

What We Are Looking For
• 2+ years of delivery, dispatch, transportation, logistics, warehouse, beverage distribution, or operations experience preferred.
• Prior lead, supervisor, trainer, dispatcher, or operations support experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn multiple delivery functions and provide coverage wherever needed.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, afternoons, weekends, holidays, peak-season schedules, Saturday dispatch, and occasional Brooklyn coverage.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work professionally with drivers, helpers, managers, sales, customer service, safety, garage, warehouse, vendors, and other departments.
• Strong organization, follow-through, urgency, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced delivery environment.
• Comfort using systems, reports, spreadsheets, email, dashboards, and delivery-related platforms.
• Ability to follow company policies, safety requirements, union contract guidelines, and management direction.
