Job description

Overview
The candidate will serve as the primary operational liaison for the end-to-end lifecycle of satellite, cellular, and cloud managed services. The specialist ensures service excellence and financial health through proactive monitoring, rigorous asset management, and technical documentation to support impactful technology for the warfighter. The candidate shall provide comprehensive support for logistics and supply chain operations, incident management, and operational readiness.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to develop logistic support requirements, identify and establish linkages between functions and tasks common to multiple organizational missions.
• Strong understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles and practices (e.g., ITIL certification preferred).
• Exceptional analytical skills with experience in financial oversight, budget monitoring, and cost management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical and financial data into clear, actionable advice for customers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Incident & Performance Management:
• Oversee automated alerts, dashboard metrics (latency, throughput, uptime), and the incident queue.
• Prioritize, document, and track incidents from initiation through to resolution or successful workaround.
• Evaluate performance data and corrective actions to prevent service breaches or recurring degradation.
Logistics & Asset Management
• Maintain an accurate Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for all hardware, including satellite dishes and SIM cards.
• Perform regular audits to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
Financial Oversight & Advisory
• Track cloud consumption and bandwidth usage against established budget baselines.
• Prepare advisory reports for customers regarding financial shortfalls, pool adjustments, and cost-saving opportunities.
Operational Readiness & Transition
• Lead the stand-up of new services, coordinate vendor handoffs, and validate deployment steps.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and service runbooks to ensure operational consistency.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Experience in logistics management concepts, policies, systems, and practices in order to provide analysis of current and future logistics infrastructure.
• Experience in developing logistics support requirements and applicable documentation.
• Proficiency in utilizing monitoring tools and reporting on technical metrics (e.g., latency, uptime, throughput).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Education
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Compensation
Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $79,000 - $127,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
