Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The Safety Administrator is an office-based role responsible for overseeing and maintaining health, safety, and environmental documentation and compliance.
Schedule: This position will operate 7 days a week- 8 hour days. Lodging, meals, and mileage provided.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This job description is not intended, nor should it be construed, to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, duties, skills or working conditions associated with the job. It is intended to be a general description of the essential duties and requirements common to positions of this type and may be subject to change.   1. Safety Documentation: Reviewing, drafting, and archiving Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and maintaining a centralized database for site orientations and audits.
  2. Permit Management: Managing, issuing, and auditing critical work permits, such as Hot Work, Confined Space Entry, and Lockout/Tagout.
  3. Performance Metrics: Analyzing safety data, including Lagging Indicators (e.g., TRIR, DART) and Leading Indicators, to generate regular safety dashboards and reports for leadership and clients.
  4. Program Administration: Managing Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) observation systems and facilitating feedback loops for safe behaviors.
  5. Regulatory Compliance: Maintaining OSHA injury logs and ensuring third-party contractor compliance via portals like ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce
  6. Hazard Evaluation (JSAs / JHAs): Focuses on task breakdowns, hazard matrices, PPE requirements, and JSA libraries.
  7. High-Risk Permits (Safe Work Authorizations): Manages confined space permits, hot work logs, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) isolation sheets.
  8. Behavioral Safety (BBS Programs): Handles observation cards, positive feedback tracking, and behavioral trend charts.
  9. Performance Metrics (Safety KPIs): Tracks and maintains OSHA 300 logs, TRIR/DART metrics, and executive dashboard updates.
  10. Third-Party Portals (Prequalification): Manages compliance updates for systems such as ISNetworld, Avetta, and Veriforce

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Must be willing to work rotational assignments (i.e. 14x14 or 21x21 rotation)
  3. Minimum of 2 years safety experience in the petrochemical industry.
  4. Current and valid state driver's license.
  5. Must be knowledgeable of company protocols, operational procedures and safety policies.
  6. Must be able to read, write and communicate professionally and effectively with employees and managers. Must possess the ability to compose simple correspondence or reports within Microsoft Office suite. Must possess the ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees and/or managers.
