Job description

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Training departments
  • Supervise the day-to-day activities of the HR department; audit employee records, and ensure seamless payroll and benefits administration
  • Manage the recruiting team to execute hiring strategies; monitor key recruitment metrics
  • Oversee the training department to ensure compliance training (e.g., harassment prevention, safety) is completed; track the delivery of professional development and onboarding programs
  • Provide direct oversight, coaching, mentoring for professional growth, and performance evaluations for the HR Manager, TA Manager, and Training Coordinator
  • Serve as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate - goals/changes/updates/news
  • Translate corporate HR policies into clear, daily operational procedures; ensure the staff consistently and fairly applies company guidelines
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for employee grievances; handle mid-level disciplinary actions and support the HR Director on complex investigations
  • Compile and analyze regular metrics for functional areas to report to the Personnel Director
  • Create a positive work environment for team and employees we serve
  • Implement process optimization where possible, practical, and in alignment with existing processes
  • Support HR Director with policy strategy and development
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education/Training: 

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's Degree desired
  • HR professional certification highly desired 

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in functional areas
  • Progressive experience with at least 2-3 years specifically managing staff across recruiting, training, and/or general HR operations  required
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, BambooHR), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Learning Management Systems (LMS) required
  • Strong team leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, sharp conflict-resolution capabilities, and clear verbal and written communication required

Security:

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to occasionally reach with hands and arms
  • Prolonged periods of computer screen use, while sitting or standing at a desk
  • Adhere to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
  • Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time

Salary: 

The projected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $120,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
