Job description

Arconic is currently in search of a Data Scientist - Revenue Management to join our Kawneer Business in Norcross, GA.

Job Summary:

This role supports the Revenue Management team by building, maintaining, and improving analytical models used for forecasting demand, understanding pricing performance, and identifying revenue opportunities. The emphasis is on learning the business, applying analytics pragmatically, and growing toward more advanced pricing and optimization work.

This is an applied role, not academic research.

You have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science or Data Science.

  • 0-2 years of professional experience

  • Internships, research projects, or strong academic work 

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (especially for OR, analytics, or applied economics)

  • Relevant coursework in Forecasting, Econometrics, Optimization, Supply chain or pricing analytics

  • Scikit-learn exposure

  • Data visualization (matplotlib, seaborn, Power BI, Tableau)

  • Git or version control familiarity

In this role, you will:

  • Support demand forecasting and reporting

  • Analyze historical pricing and customer behavior

  • Assist in building and testing pricing or elasticity models

  • Clean, validate, and structure messy transactional data

  • Translate analysis into clear insights for RM managers

  • Gradually take ownership of defined analytical components

Also note:

  • The successful incumbent in this position should know basic statistics: 

    • Mean, variance, regression concepts

    • Correlation vs causation awareness

  • Introductory forecasting concepts: trend, seasonality, moving averages

  • Comfort working with uncertainty and imperfect data

  • This hire must be able to work with data independently, even if models are simple at first.

  • Demonstrated interest in pricing, forecasting and business decision-making.

  • Ability to understand:

    • Why pricing varies by customer / product / time 

    • Trade-offs between volume, price, and margin

  • Can explain analysis in plain English

  • Comfortable asking good questions

  • Willing to challenge assumptions respectfully
