Position Overview:

Supervises and oversees the planning, organizing, and directing of patient care services, ensuring consistent delivery of high-value quality care to all patient populations served. Establishes patient assignments, staff scheduling, and patient visit volume distributions, and assists in meeting financial targets by effectively managing utilization, productivity, personnel, and supplies. Supports and educates staff in resolving operational issues/problems. Assists in developing and implementing changes in policies, practices, and standardized procedures based upon input from staff and administration to remain congruent with current laws and regulatory standards while promoting optimal patient care. Collaborates with others to coordinate services, streamline and standardize work flows and procedures, and/or drive positive outcomes.

EDUCATION:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or physical therapy or occupational therapy
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
RN-Registered Nurse of California

OR PT-Physical Therapist

OR OT-Occupational Therapist
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
5 years recent relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Computer skills, including competency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to learn and efficiently use electronic medical records systems after initial training period
Requires the ability to be a and consistent mentor to staff and use the disciplinary process appropriately
Must have current knowledge of current regulatory and clinical practice standards
Must have the clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability to effectively plan and provide coordination of patient care consistent with standards and regulations
Must effectively plan, organize staff and resources, and prioritize work, thinking critically to effectively organize operations consistent with Sutter Heath's strategy and effectively solving problems as they arise
Must have oral and written communication skills
Must have interpersonal skills and role model customer service skills
Must establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with staff, physicians, patients, and other departments
Flexibility and independence required to work competently and autonomously
Self-started with a high degree of initiative, motivation, flexibility, and creativity
At orientation and annually thereafter, must be able to meet core competencies for position and maintain licensure and professional development requirements as appropriate.

Pay Range is $150,300.80 to $240,489.60 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
