To create and execute effective programs across the Johnstone Supply organization through collaboration, communication, analysis and training. To serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts.  Ensure all efforts align with the goals of the department and the Company strategy.

  • Collaborates with the Strategic Accounts Director on developing effective growth strategies through an understanding of distributor, customer, and Company expectations and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the SA team to launch and execute new programs through the Distributors, by providing ongoing analysis, identifying opportunities for growth, and troubleshooting account issues
  • Understand company systems, technology and distributor operations to align the program with customer and distributor requirements
  • Meet regularly with accounts and distributors to drive momentum and engagement
  • Provide new ideas to improve and grow accounts
  • Partner with program operations to execute integrations, truck stocking and other operational systems
  • Collaborate with the products team to identify key sales initiatives to drive through accounts
  • Partner with marketing team to identify opportunities to drive marketing initiatives through accounts
  • Collaborate with eCommerce team to provide CX input, understand how the accounts can grow through use
  • Ongoing collaboration with vendor partners, understanding key product initiatives, the vendor’s goals and their engagement strategy with strategic accounts
  • Drive new Strategic Accounts programs through the Johnstone Supply distributors by reviewing opportunities with stores, introducing Account Representatives to stores, assisting in setting up Accounts in store systems, and providing program information and training to stores.                                    
  • Drive Distributor implementation of  Strategic Accounts programs by reviewing opportunities with stores, introducing key stakeholders, assist in setting up Accounts in store systems, and providing ongoing information and training to stores.
  • Contributes to the long-term growth and success of the Strategic Accounts Department by: completing sales calls, performing account management, expanding new and existing business opportunities, and setting up new accounts.
  • Supports the Strategic Accounts Manager in growing sales by identifying national opportunities and vendor partners, advocating Member needs, determining internal requirements, and developing Strategic Accounts proposals.
  • Implements and manages Strategic Accounts initiatives and performs account management for the Strategic Accounts Department.
  • Manages calls and communications from existing strategic accounts to address and resolve any issues.
  • Provides inside sales support for Strategic Accounts by fielding and responding to Account and store questions, requests for quotes, product crosses, shipping and billing issues, etc.
  • Evaluates the success and effectiveness of programs and services from both the Member and Strategic Account perspectives by gathering and analyzing data.  Communicates results and drives continual improvement efforts.
  • Ensures complete and accurate documentation of Strategic Accounts programs, processes and procedures.
  • Completing any special projects or duties designated by the Strategic Accounts Director.
  • This position has a 30% travel commitment throughout the fiscal year.

Education and/or Experience: Associate's degree (A.A./A.S.) from an accredited college or university; at least five years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s Degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university is preferred, but not required for this role.
