Position Overview
The Vice President of Operations is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership across the organization, ensuring the efficient, compliant, and profitable execution of the company's day-to-day operations. This role will develop and execute operational strategies, lead cross-functional teams, optimize processes and performance, and build scalable operations that support the company's continued growth and profitability.

The successful candidate will be a strategic, results-driven leader with a demonstrated track record of scaling operations, improving financial and operational performance, developing high-performing teams, and delivering measurable business results.

Key Responsibilities of a Vice President of Operations

  • Develop and execute operational strategies that support the company's growth, profitability, and long-term objectives.
  • Lead and align operational departments, including Originations, Collections, and Recovery, while driving collaboration across cross-functional teams and initiatives.
  • Establish, monitor, and optimize key performance indicators, including funding volume, turnaround times, conversion, documentation accuracy, productivity, service levels, operating costs, and portfolio performance.
  • Drive operational and portfolio profitability through effective management of delinquency, collections, recoveries, net credit losses, chargebacks, fraud, and other key risk factors.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, technology, and best practices to improve efficiency, scalability, and overall performance.
  • Oversee operational budgets, costs, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and profitable operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with dealers, vendors, and business partners while ensuring high levels of dealer and customer service, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and internal operational controls, while proactively identifying and mitigating operational, credit, fraud, and compliance risks.
  • Analyze operational and portfolio performance data, providing regular reporting, insights, and strategic recommendations to the President and senior leadership.
  • Lead, develop, coach, and retain high-performing operational leaders and teams, fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and a results-driven culture.
  • Partner with the President and senior leadership to develop and execute data-driven strategies that deliver measurable improvements in operational performance, portfolio quality, and overall profitability.

Requirements of a Vice President of Operations

  • Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and senior-level experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive operational leadership experience, with significant experience in a senior management or executive leadership role.
  • Experience leading multiple departments and managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience developing and executing operational strategies that improve efficiency, scalability, and overall business performance.
  • Strong understanding of financial performance, budgeting, and operational metrics.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated or compliance-driven environment.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and data analysis tools.

Qualifications of a Vice President of Operations

  • Experience in automotive finance, consumer lending, financial services, or a similar industry is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading operational growth and driving measurable improvements in performance and profitability.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing teams and foster accountability.
  • Strong understanding of operational risk, internal controls, and fraud prevention.

Compensation of a Vice President of Operations

  • $100,000 annual base salary
