Running to Lead is a DMF program that trains Jewish civic leaders to run for public office and serve in senior civic roles each year. To learn more about our mission, visit (DMF)

This is a newly created position , an exciting opportunity to build and own a program from the start. If you've spent time working on political campaigns and felt the grind of the election cycle, this role offers something rare in that world: stability, a comprehensive benefits package, and real room for growth within a mission-driven organization. You'll work directly alongside the Executive Director, bringing structure, process, and energy to a program that is just getting off the ground.

As Program Manager, you will be the operational engine behind Running to Lead. This isn't a support role, it’s a builder role. You'll work hand-in-hand with the Executive Director to design and execute every aspect of the program, from recruiting participants to coordinating trainers to tracking outcomes. If you're someone who loves turning big ideas into detailed plans and making things run smoothly, this is the role for you.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Operations

• Manage day-to-day logistics across trainings, workshops, simulations, and cohort learning, from planning through evaluation.

• Translate program goals into detailed workplans, timelines, and deliverables across the full program lifecycle.

• Serve as the operational right hand to the Executive Director, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.

Curriculum & Faculty Coordination

• Coordinate trainers, elected officials, campaign professionals, and subject matter experts covering fundraising, messaging, coalition-building, and more.

• Support development and refinement of training content, ensuring sessions are well-structured and materials are prepared in advance.

Participant Recruitment & Cohort Management

• Lead outreach and selection efforts to build diverse, high-caliber cohorts ready to campaign and lead.

• Serve as primary point of contact for participants, providing guidance and logistical support throughout the program.

Evaluation & Reporting

• Track program metrics, surface insights, and report to DMF leadership and funders on participant engagement and long-term outcomes.

• Drive continuous improvement by incorporating feedback from participants, faculty, and partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• 5+ years of experience in program management, political campaigns, civic engagement, or leadership development

• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously

• Demonstrated understanding of campaign dynamics, electoral politics, or public leadership pathways

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder-management skills

• Openness to diverse viewpoints and a belief that meaningful change begins with personal growth and self-reflection

Preferred

• Experience with candidate training programs, political incubators, or leadership fellowships

• Familiarity with local, state, and/or federal electoral landscapes

• Comfort working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial nonprofit environment

BENEFITS

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) with company match, supplemental insurance, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, personal days, and bonus potential (STI).
