Dayton, OH

The Program Manager Senior RQH will provide functional and specialized support, strategic direction, and oversight of the operations and business functions in support of AFRL enterprise, in particular the Aerospace Systems Directorate (RQH) for the advancement of a variety of aerospace technologies.

Responsibilities
  • Apply full range of program management philosophies, policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of acquisition management activities in support of existing and future programs.
  • Support Government leads with program management lifecycle requirements, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Support strategic scheduling and planning efforts and utilize a variety of systems to track, manage, and report efforts.
  • Provide technical support, coordination, and planning for integrated program reviews and conferences.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, and managing critical aspects of the development, production, and/or deployment of capabilities, systems, subsystems, and equipment.
  • Assist with development of policies and procedures for enterprise or organization-based instructions and guidance
  • Independent review and assessment of R&D contract cost, schedule, and performance
  • Identify risks and risk mitigation plans.
  • Develop and implement Capability-Based Planning processes for Air Force Material Command.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Master of Arts or Master of Science degree
  • Minimum twelve (12) years’ related work experience
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience with the DoD OR
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science Degree
  • Minimum fifteen (15) years’ related work experience
  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience with the DoD OR
  • Minimum twenty (20) years related work experience
  • Minimum eight (8) years’ experience with the DoD
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience performing lifecycle tasks associated with contract acquisition, management, and closeout.
  • Knowledge in providing analysis and project management support.
  • Knowledge in program management philosophy, policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of acquisition management activities.
  • Experience in forecasting and making recommendations of funding changes, interim status, and overall results.

  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee may use repeated motions that include the arms, wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
