Program Nurse
A position in the Health Services program area, which supports the day-to-day operations of the health program in compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards. This position ensures that all child health and developmental concerns are identified, as well as that children and families are linked to an ongoing source of continuous, accessible care to meet their basic health needs.
Licensure Requirements
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) required.
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure preferred.
Experience
  • One (1) year pediatric, public health, or school nursing experience strongly preferred.
Skills
  • Computer literacy: word processing and database skills preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, verbally and in writing, effective problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a diverse workplace.
  • Effective and strong telephone skills.
Qualities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in a professional manner.
  • Ability and willingness to work as a team member.
  • A strong commitment to quality childcare programs.
  • Ability to maintain and adhere to boundary guidelines.

Starting Pay: $38.54 - $42.03 per hour, depending on education level
