Background: Cahaba Medical Care Foundation is a community health center providing medical, pharmacy, dental, and behavioral health services to diverse underserved communities in Jefferson, Bibb, Perry, Chilton, and Wilcox counties. We are a Level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home and Joint Commission accredited organization, committed to increasing integration and coordination of behavioral health and primary care. This is an exciting, fast-paced practice with a strong mission and commitment to providing high-quality care.
Residency Program Assistant
Reports To: Residency Program Manager
Position Overview:
Join our Graduate Medical Education (GME) team as a Residency Program Assistant and play a key role in keeping our residency program running smoothly. You'll support program leadership, faculty, and residents with scheduling, events, credentialing, and daily operations-making a real impact on medical education and patient care. This is a fast-paced, collaborative role with opportunities to grow within the GME team.
What You'll Do:

  • Manage calendars, meetings, travel, and events for program leadership and faculty.
  • Coordinate residency program activities, including didactics, special projects, and supply needs.
  • Assist with resident credentialing and scheduling in Athena and CallMyDoc.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and maintain digital files and records for easy access and compliance.
  • Support ad hoc projects and department initiatives as assigned.
  • Occasionally travel to other sites for meetings or events.
